New Ford PK Ranger

Ford Australia has today announced details of its updated PK Ranger models, which it says aims to effectively combine genuine durability and sturdiness with a new, distinct and muscular exterior design, ensuring you still get performance with visual excitement and will also feature newly designed alloy wheels to compliment the visual changes of the exterior.

Gone is the previous, more chunky style of the Ranger  that was mainly used as a pure workhorse to something more of a lifestyle vehicle.
All PK Ranger models offer AM/FM radio and an MP3-compatible CD/ player as standard and despite the fact that the side mirrors are quite large to improve visibility, their shape is sleek and allows the wind to flow past without creating wind noise or  turbulence.

The new PK Ranger combines  its toughness with Ford's engineering know-how to create a compact truck that is unequalled for its all-around ability and style, and this new style blended with strength defines new PK Ranger and brings to the compact truck segment a very high degree of attention to design and detail.

The horizontal three-bar grille embossed with RANGER lettering is one of Ford’s global design traits and It is this grille, along with clever remoulding of the front panel work, like the large headlamps that wraparound each front corner that successfully establish a new design benchmark for the compact truck segment. It is a remarkable transformation that highlights perfectly the strong character of Ranger.

With the choice of two Duratorq TDCi engines – producing 330Nm and 380Nm – Ranger has the power to get the job done. Ford says the TDCi diesels are powerful, refined and available in 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain configurations with a choice of Ford's 5-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual.
